The pupils' task was that they would go through all the lab computers, fix them and replace components. The computers that could not be fixed, would be taken to the environment recycling center.

  1. What a big job. It is a job that would teach them to understand computer problems and then make a decision about whether to repair the computer or not. Did the students enjoy this task?

  2. Oh yes, it was a joy to watch them work during the task. All they did was very professional.

  3. This semes to be a common task for computer students our did the same. IT helps if the students help the teacher mend lab computers its otherwise very time consuming for the teacher.

  4. Yes getting our stduents to join in like this is excellent. It improves their confidence and they have fun. We often ask our senior students to help the teachers with the technology. This happens at university too i think. I always ask one of my children to help me. Even my little grand daughter is sometimes more competent than I am.

  5. I think it is important that we inspire and motivate young people to work with computers, especially when we see how development is progressing and how our societies are changing to multi-media communities.
